Christopher Pair’s Story
There are parts of America that still suffer from hunger although this fact is not well known, or maybe it is just ignored. However, the pitiful the truth is that there is hunger and there is a gathering of individuals who eat without knowing where their next dinner would originate from or when it would be. One of the people who has lived through this is Christopher Pair. It is because of his experience in these conditions that he has become the man he is this day. Christopher was a grandson to a Mexican immigrant and a son to a sharecropper. All of them came from very humble beginnings, and so did Christopher. The neediness was the standard in those days, and in an endeavor to break the cycle of destitution, Christopher’s father joined the military. He was in the army for several years, and after leaving the service, he came back home to provide for the family as a gardener. As a child, it was common for Christopher to go without food. What little they had, had almost zero nutritional value.
Looking for other sources of income was the only way they could survive since the income they already had was not at all enough to provide all of them with food. One bright idea they had was recycling. They would go around collecting soda cans which they sold to get some money. They then used the money to buy food for the family. The uncertainty that came with not knowing what they will eat made Christopher wish for a better future and the only way to make that possible was to go to school and get some education. After he was done with his studies, he remembered his roots and what he went through growing up. His biggest dream was to go back and the change the lives of all those who were in the same situation as he was when he grew up by providing them with access to better lives. He joined the direct selling industry and later became the president of operations at a company called Plexus Worldwide, this position enabled him to be the change he wished for. He advanced this change by deciding to address an issue that he confronted and that a great many families continue to have in America.
The circumstances that Christopher grew up in could have held him back, but he did his utmost best to overcome them, and he continues helping those in the same situation to live a better life. What pulled in him to Plexus was how the organization was determined to help other people, and he perceived a device with which to make the change he wanted. Plexus made a partnership with Feeding America which is an initiative to get rid of hunger in America. Through the association, the group endeavors to have an effect on the yearning crisis and want to free a huge number of families from its grip. Christopher Pair aims to make the world a better place by giving.
